August 13, 2016: Radio Sales: We are looking for sales people who are good at what they do. Currently we need people to sell sponsorships for live traffic reports heard in Barstow, California and Las Vegas, Nevada, and in Baltimore, Maryland. This job can be done from anywhere in the country.
Traffic Reporter (regular part-time): This is a rare opportunity for a regular morning / midday reporter. The position is very demanding and requires both self-producing and announcing; it’s not for beginners. The ultimate candidate will be able to work unsupervised: they must monitor police scanners, gather traffic information, and accurately and articulately convey that information on five different radio stations, with one live station. The shifts will vary. The position also requires the ability to read 15-second paid sponsors with each report.
This is an independent contractor position; 1099 tax forms are issued at the end of each year. You must own, maintain, and work from your own studio with equipment that has a professional sound. Pre-recorded reports are produced in .MP3 and .WAV formats and then uploaded to an FTP server. Live reports must be done through your landline telephone or your high-quality VoIP phone (no cell phones).
If you’re still locked into a non-compete within a certain radius, then you can be placed into markets that would not violate that.
Send resume and demo (in .MP3 format) to M. Zoomzoom Moonchild (e-mails that do not include both a resume and a demo will be ignored and deleted).
If you have applied for a position with Reliant Broadcasting in the past, then feel free to do so again. If you did not receive a response, then please understand that these ads usually generate a very large volume of e-mails, but be assured that all resumes are properly evaluated.
